Jehovah's Witnesses:5 integral Kingdom Questions!

Question # 1:

In Genesis 13,verses 14-17,Abraham is told to look all around him at the land that would be his inheritance,as well as his ""offspring's" inheritance.

Galatians 3:29 says:

"If you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."

The Watchtower would say that those who are "Christ's" are the anointed who go to heaven. So how could it be that those in Galatians 3:29 who are "Christ's",and also "Abraham's offspring",will not be heirs according to the "promise" actually given to Abraham & his offspring? That being, the "land"?Are we REALLY to believe that "Abraham's offspring",also known as ""Christ's"(or the anointed) according to Galatians 3:29 will not get the precise inheritance promised them in Genesis 13?Is there a separation here of two vastly differing promises like the WT boldly claims or is it the same promises for the anointed and the OT faithful like the scriptures explicitly claim?

Question # 2:

Hebrews 11:16 says that there is a "heavenly country" and a "city" "prepared" for the OT patriarchs, who the Watchtower claims will inherit a "new earth."

Problem is,Revelation identifies this "city" as "New Jerusalem",which the Watchtower claims is only for an anointed 144,000 and no one else. Why would something be "prepared",namely a "heavenly country" for the Old Testament faithful, if they have no hope of actually attaining it?

Matthew 8:11 says:

"Many Gentiles will come from all over the world--from east and west--and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven."

Again, the Watchtower says that "the kingdom of heaven" is reserved solely for 144,000 folks and NOT those who Matthew 8:11 says will actually be there. So question is:

On what basis did the Watchtower dogmatically determine that the "kingdom of heaven" won't be on the earth since the earth is actually promised to those who are said to be in the "kingdom of heaven" and the "kingdom of God"?This naturally leads to the next question.

Question # 3:

Daniel 7:27 says :

"Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms *under* the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High."

Here we have the saints inheriting a kingdom "under heaven",do we not?Is this not the kingdom of heaven? Is it possible the heavenly kingdom will manifest on earth for the saints?Won't the "new earth",promised the OT patriarchs and NT Christians alike,be "under heaven" according to Daniel here?

Could it be that the kingdom is "prepared" in heaven(1 Pet. 1:4,5) but will be "revealed" when it "comes down"?

Revelation 21:2 enlightens:

"I saw also the holy city, New Jerusalem, COMING DOWN out of heaven FROM God and prepared as a bride"

So is this "city" being "prepared" "coming down" TO us..or are people going up TO it?It descends to the earth for the patriarchs and the Christians who will receive the same promises according to texts like Romans 15:8,where Christ is said to have "confirmed" the promises made to the OT patriarchs also to the Christians in the body of Christ.

Even further confirmation in Acts 13:32:

"And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which was made to the fathers"

According to Genesis 13:14-17..what WAS that "promise which was made to the fathers" that was ALSO "glad tidings" for the *anointed* brothers and sisters in Acts?In these clear and easy texts, isn't it the promises to the "fathers" and "patriarchs" that are confirmed for the "anointed" Christians?Or is it some vastly "different" promise like the Watchtower claims?

Apparently, gifts from God are "prepared" and "reserved" in heaven, but they "come down" and manifest themselves on earth.(James 1:17)What God sources..every good gift from him, including the kingdom,"comes down" to us.Where does the bible say we have to fly up to heaven to receive our gifts that are prepared there?Doesn't the bible instead say those prepared gifts descend to earth? All believers are said to have a "heavenly calling"(Heb. 3:1) because we have a calling from God to be Christian, not because we fly away to heaven.

Question # 4:

Look out.This one's WAY explicit.

Revelation 20:9 describes an invading army that "advances over the breadth of the earth" as it "encircles the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city."(which we've already identified as New Jerusalem)Then it proceeds to say that "fire came down out of heaven and devoured them"(the army)...So question is:

If the "camp of the holy ones and the beloved city" is supposed to be in heaven as the Watchtower insists, then how in the world can it be invaded by an army that "advances over the breadth of the earth?"If "fire came down out of heaven" to devour those invading the "holy ones",wouldn't this suggest(ok.. explicitly confirm to be honest)that the "holy ones" would positively have to be on earth?Otherwise, how could an invading army advancing against them ON EARTH make any sense whatsoever?

But what about Jesus?Won't the "anointed" live with him?

Question # 5:

Acts 3:21 says about Jesus:

"He must remain in heaven *until* the time of universal restitution, which God announced long ago through the voice of his holy prophets."

Wouldn't this scripture suggest(ok..explicitly confirm to be honest) that Jesus will return to the earth since heaven only holds him *until* a certain time?Repetition for emphasis(which I learned from the Watchtower..thanks a lot!):

"He(Jesus) must remain in heaven *until* the time of universal restitution"

Notice "until" yet?

As a Jehovah's Witness,I must have observed the "passover" when I saw this text.I certainly passed over this text!Accidental,I promise.

1 Thessalonians 1:10 says that we are to "wait" for Jesus "from heaven",which seems to correlate,no?When someone comes "from" somewhere to ones who are "waiting",wouldn't that imply leaving where he currently is to go TO those ones?Especially when we consider he's only in heaven "until" the time of restitution?

Fact is,the kingdom of the heavens is NOT distinguished from "the inhabited earth to come"(Heb. 2:5) in scripture. The Watchtower may make prodigious attempts to convince you otherwise, but all these scriptures are clear enough.

Does Luke 23:43 prove that the dead are alive in Paradise?

Luke 23:43: And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”(according to most translations, that is)

I will be assessing this verse in three ways:
1.Gramatically
2.Contextually &
3.Logically as well as biblically speaking

Right off the bat, let's examine the grammar.Because there is no punctuation in the Greek here,it depends upon where the comma is placed within this passage what the true intent of Yahushua was in his statement therein.First, does the bible provide any precedent that the comma can be placed AFTER the word today?Absolutely. Please examine:

Deut. 30:18:I declare to you today, that you shall surely perish.

Acts 20:26:Why I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

The grammar is possible either way.If you look at bias sites, you will find bias opinions.Scripture from cover to cover should be the determining factor.Obviously in texts like the above, "today" or "this day" is said to emphasize a point, not to propose that what was being said would actually occur on that day.

A website says:

"the phrase in verse 43, “I tell you the truth today,” was a common Hebrew idiom used to emphasize the solemnity and importance of an occasion or moment." (compare Deut. 4:26, 39, 40; 5:1; 6:6; 7:11, Josh. 23:14).(from:http://www.truthortradition.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=370 )

All that being said,it should go without saying that Yahushua isn't going to propose something that would contradict clear and prevailing revelations throughout his father's word.So to establish those revelations, let's examine the context itself of the passage in question as well as the passages that cannot be contradicted throughout the bible itself to help establish an interpretation of Luke 23:43 itself that doesn't negate prevailing biblical sentiments.First,context.

It is paradise that we inherit when Christ returns and the earth is made new,not anytime before that if we are to believe common sense scriptures.Perhaps that is why the man on the cross said “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” (Lk. 23:42)Perhaps that is also why Yahushua stressed that he would remember the thief in his kingdom. After all, isn't his kingdom "paradise"?As Anthony Buzzard notes "the Lord's assertion more than satisfies the thief's request."("What happens when we die?" p. 56)Since when was "sheol"(in Hebrew) or "hades"(in Greek),which is where the dead go until they're resurrected, "paradise" anyway?(Job 14:13,Acts 2:31)

Yahushua said in Luke 22:18(not long before he addressed the malefactor on the cross) :"I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now on until the kingdom of God comes."To which I suppose a traditionalist Christian could say: "Why not..if you'll be in Paradise the day you die?"Acts 2:31 says about Yahushua that "he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption."So apparently unless one is resurrected from the GRAVE,as opposed to "Paradise" where it seems everything would be beautifully preserved, the "flesh"(yes, proving actual "flesh" must be in Hades)would decay. If Hades is a Paradise of disembodied souls, why is there flesh there and why does it decay?

I would suggest that when Yahushua addressed the man in Luke that what came to mind for this criminal was the Garden of Eden that Adam lost.(Rev. 2:7,22:2)Adam lived there with his body intact. And thanks to the Last Adam,we can too!!At the Last Day.(1 Thes. 4:17,2 Tim. 4:8)I would also suggest to you that the "tree of life" doesn't grow where the dead sleep. And that since the tree of life is in the "paradise of God" then the dead don't eat of it.Otherwise, what *exactly* was the curse for all sinful men Adam caused? To turn to dust *so that* you can eat of the tree of life?(Reason is called for.)That tree of life in God's paradise is obviously a gift bestowed not upon the dead, but rather upon the resurrected faithful.

If the dead are in some interim called paradise,it must be utterly silent without joy, breath, livelihood, any semblance of intellect,or even awakeness.Otherwise, what God has actually said irrefutably and rather plainly about their state would be utterly nonsensical. So now it's time for some holy scripture and logic.

Examine:

Ps. 115:17: The dead do not praise the Lord,
nor do any who go down into silence.

Ps. 146:4: His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.

Please note the passage says that *he* does,as opposed to a flesh capsule without *him* in it.When the spirit,or the breath of life, exits the body, the entire person ceases to breathe, think,or remain awake. At least according to plain unambiguous language.

Ecc. 9:5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, ..and verse 10:there is no work or thought or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol, to which you are going.(sheol is hades in Hebrew)

I could go on and on here describing the proper state of the dead, but I'll spare you.For those of you who believe that all the "silence" and "sleep" and "breath leaving the body as the thoughts perish" texts are in reference solely to a "body" with no one in it,then I suppose the only appeal I can make is for you to reconsider such an unwarranted leap, one made imo without any solid reason. That view is similar to the remarkable and unfounded view that much of what Christ accomplished was due to a "nature",(including even his very death!) and not the actual whole person of Yahushua *himself.*Why let theological presuppositions and long held traditional inferences butcher plain language?

Matthew 9:23-25, John 11:11-14, Jeremiah 51:39, Acts 7:60 all describe the dead as asleep(connoting God's ability to awake them in a resurrection)..Would "sleeping" be the best possible way to describe those who are awake in sheol or hades, which those who have misused Luke 23:43 have managed to call "Paradise"?It would seem to be,logically speaking, that the resurrections that took place in scripture would have been more like intolerable cruelty than a joyous occasion if the dead are alive in Paradise, given that a "resurrection" would rob them of their joy with God as spirits even as it gives them back their tainted flesh that often causes much discomfort and agony.(Rom. 7:18-25)I also find it interesting, and you can argue that I'm arguing from silence while I would say instead that we're commanded to reason(and so I will argue with that intact),that no one resurrected in scripture described how they were alive anywhere in a state of being awake and alive(in ANY condition) before they were made alive in the biblical records of resurrections performed by everyone from Elijah to Yahushua to Peter & Paul.

Please also note that all the dead are said to be in Sheol or Hades,so where is there a distinguishing mark between those who are wicked and those who are righteous? In other words,if Hades is the destination of all who die,how can it properly be called "Paradise"?Do the wicked inherit "Paradise" at death? If not, then how can sheol and hades actually BE Paradise?

For those of you who think hades and Paradise(assuming that you believe the dead are in both hades and Paradise because hades is in fact somehow Paradise) are also both somehow "heaven"(because in your theological view Paradise IS Heaven),then how could you possibly reconcile that with Christ's proclamation that he hadn't ascended to the father and didn't for 40 days(Jn. 20:17) and also the bible's revelation that none of God's faithful servants had either?(Acts 2:34)

Paul said in 2 Corinthians:

2 Cor. 5:2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling 3 if indeed by putting it on we may not be found naked. 4 For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.

Why would Paul scoff at the idea of being "unclothed" if God intends to "unclothe him" as a disembodied spirit in some interim supposedly called "Paradise"(where he's perfect & blissful with Yahushua mind you!) before he's resurrected? If that was God's intention, shouldn't Paul have rather "groaned" to be unclothed and free from the burden of his body so that he could be with Yahushua in Paradise as a spirit creature?Instead Paul says something very telling..he says "we may not be found naked. " and " we groan...*not that we would be unclothed*, but that we would be *further clothed*"Also, note how Paul contrasts "mortality" from "being swallowed up by life."If mortality actually entails being alive then the apparent contrast would be entirely lost..I logically detect no need of a resurrection at all if we're made perfect in Paradise with Christ the moment we die. What is so exceptional about regaining a body if Paradise is held in the palm of our hands without one?

As yet another reasoning point, wouldn't peace in "Paradise" with Yahushua be absolutely perfect?According to Heb. 11:40,all the faithful are made perfect TOGETHER,not apart from one another. And when? When they're resurrected,of course.(1 Cor. 15:52)So if the thief was made perfect apart from everyone else, the bible lies.

Significantly enough,Rom. 10:7 says Christ was in the *abyss* for 3 days like Jonah was in the belly of the sea monster(Matt. 12:40)i.e. NOT in paradise. The abyss,I can assure you,is not paradise.Yahushua said "*I* was dead."*I* entails an ego and mind in the Greek language so a *body* with no Yahushua in it isn't a sufficient death to save anyone. His mind, breath, and thoughts had to cease to function or he didn't die for anyone. If he was awake anywhere at all he didn't legitimately die for anyone.(John 11:11,Ps. 115:17,146:4)Bodies don't die without people in them, except by an absurd unwarranted inference, quite frankly initially based upon Platonic type philosophies of men.

In summary, the criminal on the cross(in context) is asking about assurance that he will be saved when Yahushua returns as king, not that *particular* day.Because the hope for all mankind from cover to cover is a resurrection to glory at the LAST DAY,and not glory before it.(2 Tim. 4:8,1 Cor. 15:52,1 Thes. 4:16)Again,either translation for Luke 23:43 is gramatically viable(in terms of comma placement),but the one that harmonizes with the bible's unambiguous declarations from cover to cover is the only one that can be right.

Paradise on Earth

This is the first effort I ever made at a youtube video a long time ago. It's basically just scriptures proving that God's kingdom will include this earth made anew.May his will soon be done on earth as it is in heaven!

I think all the scriptures that seem to indicate people will live in heaven forever are misused,as I now believe "heavenly kingdom" means of divine origin and when we have treasures stored up "in heaven" it means God has blessings for us there ready to bestow upon us.etc..And no,I'm not a JW,though I used to be.

Paradise on earth and trinity thoughts

Weren't Adam and Eve glorious and holy before they sinned?Don't you think Jehovah was happy with the earth and man be4 sin?Why would he dismiss the idea of Paradise when he never dismisses any of his purposes? Why would he put "forever" and "peace on earth" in the hearts of men if it wasn't going to occur? Why WOULDN'T he fulfill his original purpose?Don't you think the bible specifically lays out that plan and the means of accomplishing it in scripture?(gen 3:15)What does the Lord's prayer mean when it says "let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven?" and on the sermon on the mount when he says"blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth"..?And would it be reasonable to conclude that humans will all die and go to heaven when Jehovah never intended that to begin with, when we were composed of "earthly things"?..WHICH isn't bad pre-sin!If we take our minds out of the gutter and realize the perfection glory and peace that the earth and man possessed pre Adamic sin then we should be absolutely overwhelmed imagining the beauty of what must've been and what WILL BE AGAIN!(eph 3:20)I haven't pulled it out of nowhere..it is laid out like a divine puzzle in the word of God!Yes,you can live forever in a Paradise on earth..I said paradise! Not the chaos and tragedy we all have come to know.Conditions will be magnificent..by the power of God and his king!(1 chron 29:20,rev 5:13,John 13:31,32,Isaiah 9:7)

At rev 21:3,Jehovah's Witnesses say mankind on earth is referenced here.Christians commonly say that isn't possible because the "tabernacle " is in heaven.I will now refer you to Leviticus 26:11,12,where ,again,Jehovah resides with his ppl figuratively. There won't even be a need for a mediator once paradise is restored and the kingdom has completely taken over!(1 cor 15:27,28)Mediators were only needed because of mankind's fall from grace. That isn't to say though that appointees won't still be used and on earth in behalf of keeping things theocratically organized.(Ps 45:16,1 Cor 14:33)

Did Adam and Eve have it bad before they sinned?I think that is one reason they sinned..they had it so well, they forgot how bad they needed God for a second. And look what happens when man does that!Yikes!

Hebrews 4:15,:we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way just as we are, yet without sin” (NET). 16:Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

IMO,if you are saying life in a paradise earth in peace and perfection isn't good enough for you then you are saying Jehovah's purpose for you isn't good enough.Remember we're talkin PRE-sin heah! And I find it interesting that people pray for peace on earth and God's will on earth and feel the beauty in their hearts of the majesty of this planet(minus the chaos from the fall mind you) yet insist that heaven is the only place to live!

And now,for another defense in regards to YEP you guessed it..the trinity!THIS time it's about revelation and how it DOESN'T prove Jesus is Jehovah.
About Rev 1:8:"I am the Alpha and the Omega," declares the Lord God, "the one who is, who was, and who is coming, the Almighty."

Rev 1:1= Jesus is GIVEN the revelation FROM GOD.So according to trinitarians Jehovah gives Jehovah a revelation.Shouldn't Jehovah the Son have already had the revelation?Wonder why Jesus has to constantly be given everything?Could it be because he relies on HIS GOD for everything and is NOT HIS OWN GOD?(Acts 10:38)They are clearly BOTH coming since Jehovah is Jesus's source of power!(Acts 2:22)You better believe Jehovah is coming..he has never not been there for his most beloved son(to vindicate his sovereignty THROUGH Jesus )!(John 3:34)Jah uses Jesus and Jesus happily complies!Again, please,do reveal to us who know Jesus has a God why he had to be given the revelation? Is your answer because the son needs to be given everything from the father?(dan 7:14)and if it is,what about life?(John 5:26)

Jehovah is here figuratively every time Jesus is..since he freely and kindly gives his holy spirit to his Christ everytime Christ does or says anything as Jehovah's representative.(John 10:37,38,John 5:19)For example, when Joshua made the sun and moon motionless, who do you think REALLY did? When Jesus healed and raised etc, since he did nothing of his own initiative, what was REALLY going on?(Isaiah 42:1)
Is Revelation 1:8 about Jehovah?absolutely! And good luck proving otherwise in light of rev 1:1,4,5!

NOW yes Jesus is called the first and the last in a couple scriptures. Why?One need only to look at context for answers. He was the first to be raised to immortality directly by Jehovah and the last because THROUGH Christ everyone else will be raised,in him.Look at context and it should be clear that the context is the death and resurrection of Jesus. Also,Christ was the first new creation by Jehovah God and the last in that all the rest of it is held together in his glorified and immortal body.First and last has to do with being the firstfruits of new creatures and gaining a life without end.

Ponder for a few the earth and how it is Jehovah's footstool and his delight after seeing his creation.Ponder for a few the "Son of Man" being brought to the "Ancient of Days" and reconcile all that with your belief that all believers will live in heaven and that Jesus is God.(Daniel 7:9-13,Genesis 1:31)
